Verified offload to any drive
Local, NAS or cloud, in one pass. Card Offloader reads the card once, writes to every destination at the same time, reads each file back off the destination to prove it arrived intact, and writes a report someone else's software can check.
The Finder gives you no guarantee that the bytes arrived whole. It copies, it says it finished, and that is all it says. For footage that cannot be shot again, that is not enough.

Don't trust us. Check.
Six other tools will tell you they verify your copies, and several of them are free. So instead of adjectives, here are three things you can test without our help.
Another company's software validated our report — then continued it
We handed an ASC MHL manifest to ascmhl, the reference implementation published for the ASC Motion Imaging Technology Council. It validated against the official schema, verified 520 files out of 520, and then wrote generation 0002 on top of ours, adopting our chain of custody as its own.
We pulled the card out mid-copy, on purpose
Not a simulation — the card was physically yanked while an offload was running. Afterwards, 937 files across three destinations were byte-for-byte identical to the source, with zero partial files, confirmed with an outside tool rather than with our own checksums.
The verification method is written down
Not we use checksums
. The actual order of operations, and why reading a file back immediately after writing it can quietly verify your computer's memory instead of the disk it is supposed to be checking.
How it works
- The card is read once Not once per destination. The card is the slow part of the job and the part that wears out, so it is read a single time and streamed to every drive in parallel. Adding a third destination costs far less than a third of the time.
- Every destination is flushed Each device is told to commit its write cache to the actual medium before anything is checked. Skipping this is how software verifies quickly and proves nothing.
- Every file is read back From the destination, with the operating system's cache bypassed, and its hash compared against the source. This step takes real time, and that is the point of it.
A file that fails is an error, not a warning
There is no yellow icon, no completed with issues
, no summary that quietly buries one bad file among nine hundred good ones. If a single file cannot be verified, the offload has failed.
The destination folder is created with the name !!! INCOMPLETE - DO NOT USE AS BACKUP !!! and only loses that name once every file has been verified. Pull the power out halfway through and the folder is still sitting there, telling you the truth.
The card is never touched
There is no delete function. No format function. No clear card after offload
checkbox hidden in the preferences. Not because it is discouraged — because it does not exist anywhere in the application. The one mistake you cannot undo is the one we made impossible.
One licence, every Mac you own
Card Offloader is sold through the Mac App Store, so a purchase covers every Mac signed in to the same Apple Account. The laptop on set and the workstation in the edit suite are one licence, not two.
That is worth saying plainly, because it is not how this category usually works. ShotPut Pro is licensed as a single CPU application (may only be used on one computer at a time)
, and OffShoot is priced per activation (both checked 24/08/26).
